Vision Force Boot Camp here I come!
Greetings all! I hope these words find you in a happy and healthy state of being. I am writing today to start what I intend to become a daily blog leading up to and presumably continuing after the completion of my experience in this years Vision Force Boot Camp that is to be held in Austin Texas at Barsana Dham, a beautiful and glorious Ashram.
I would like to mention right now that I feel absolutely honored to be one of the 30 fortunate people to be accepted for this program, from all I have read thus far it seems to me to be a very beneficial experience for all those who have attended in the past. This will be the second time I will be spending time in an Ashram, the first was two years ago in Oakland at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Ashram where I participated in a Shaktipat Intensive. That was an incredible experience in my life that benefited my spiritual development greatly and although the Vision Force Boot Camp is not exactly the same sort of awakening I believe I will derive similar benefits physically, mentally, and spiritually from it.
Life is such a wonderful adventure, I have come to find that the most important way of making the best of it is by maintaining a positive perspective. By perceiving a beautiful, bright, and harmonious reality you are creating just that. It has taken me the last several years of my life to come to this realization and I still have to work at focusing on this truth to make my life just that. We all go through ups and downs and it is unrealistic to think that our lives can be perfect at any time, perfection is nowhere and omnipresent at the same time, for I am of the opinion that every moment is perfect though our idea of what perfection is is askew. All I mean by this is that striving for happiness all the time is not possible and that without sadness we wouldn't know happiness, that goes for pleasure and pain as well. Now that I have at least a modicum of a grasp on this concept it has helped me to maintain a balanced and more than less positive perspective on my reality. It is exciting and makes my present and future outlook that much brighter.
For those of you reading this that do not know me (which I presume will be most of you) I want to give you a little idea of what I stand for and where my visions are currently pointing. I am 25 years of age, I have what the standard (and not at all accurate system of measurement) system defines my level of education as "some college". However since I graduated from High School I have read easily over 50 books, done hands on work and workshops in many different fields from landscaping, carpentry, food service, customer service, management, owning and operating a business, environmental science, entertainment, advertising, promotions, video production, web design, photography, writing, and, well, really I have been and done things that cover most of the spectrum. I like to consider myself a modern day renaissance man of sorts. I know more than a little bit about a lot of subjects and continue to learn with an insatiable appetite almost daily to further my knowledge and experiences in numerous subjects and ways of life.
My main focus for the past year or two have been really trying to heighten my awareness and strengthening my relationship with nature. I have become a vegetarian, attended many conferences and workshops related to sustainable living, organic eating, and renewable energy sources. My passion right now and primary vision is trying to find a way to promote these concerns of mine with a broad demographic but focusing on bringing this awareness to children and young adults. I have come to realize that a lot of the movements that are happening are working but many do not concern bringing this information to the leaders of tomorrow, the children, who will ultimately make the most impact in all of humanity's future. If we need all these changes to occur in the next 50 years we better get the people who will be under 50 years old by that time to be more than enthusiastic about helping bring these changes to fruition.
I am going to wrap with what I believe is one of the most important things we as visionaries and agents of change can do, we must work on removing the worries, doubts, and fears from these important issues and instead instill love, light, compassion, excitement, and fun into the hearts and minds of both the young and old. We can change tomorrow but scarring people today is not the best tactic in my opinion. Ignorance is the biggest threat we have facing us right now and as we get together and work towards making a difference for our future we need to hold on to a bright and optimistic perspective of both today and tomorrow.
I applaud all of you out there that are already making a difference in your lives and in others, it is in our best interest to make the changes in our own lives and through doing so we can be leaders by example, I hope and believe that my experience in this Vision Force Boot Camp will further raise my awareness, passion, and belief in this.
Much love and light to you all,
Joseph

I was really considering this myself, but backed off because I'm making a major move at this time as well. Are there any slots left? Have a great time!
